eBay Update - Over £1500 raised So Far Through eBay

DONATING THROUGH E-BAY – Selling donated items through e-bay, the online auction  house, has now been ongoing for over a year and has proved a great  success.

Over £1500 has been raised for Animal Samaritans.

Goods donated by members and supporters have been put up for sale on the on-line auction site, sometimes we were surprised by how much they made, and sometimes we were surprised by how far they went!

  • Four small jigsaw puzzles turned out to be collector’s items and raised over £100 from a collector in The Netherlands.

  • An 8mm film splicer went all the way to Berlin.

  • A Westie dog was re-homed to a new owner in New Jersey USA. But unlike all the other dogs we re-home this one was a full size ceramic figure!

HERE ARE JUST SOME OF THE OTHER ITEMS DONATED AND SOLD.
A Bob Dillon scrap book An engagement ring.
An electric typewriter A Hedgehog house
An electric tile cutter A Fountain Pen
Lots more Jigsaw puzzles

Some items made just £2 or £3 but it all adds up!

We would also like to thank those supporters who have sold goods on e-bay and donated all or part of the proceeds to us.

SPECIAL THANKS GO TO THE FOLLOWING:-
MRS S of Chislehurst. Her donations have brought in over £590.
Mr & Mrs P of Swanley. Their donations have brought in over £130.

WE ALWAYS NEED MORE ITEMS TO SELL!
So please think of us when you come across that item you bought but never used or the present you were given that you buried in the back of the cupboard.

See the donations page for more details or contact Bill Neville, our eBay fundraiser

Neutering Offer

Neutering isn't cruel; it is for the animals' benefit. We need to control their numbers which are much too high. Those of you who have un-neutered pets will know how much of a problem they can be when on heat or have unplanned litters.

If you have a cat, dog or rabbit which you think should be neutered but are worried about the cost, we are still offering ONE HUNDRED MEMBERS FREE NEUTERING.

This offer is limited to one per household. If you wish to apply, please write

ITV daytime show 'This Morning' contacted Animal Samaritans to ask if we had a rescued dog that had problems, to appear on the show with their guest -  Psychic John Starkey.  John who is President of The Psychic Research Foundation of Great Britain is well known for his work with animals.  He links with them psychically and discovers things about them, their environment and even their owners.

Chairman of Animal Samaritans, Chris Bishop, was happy to appear with Emmie, a young Greyhound recently taken in by the Charity, and now living permanently with Chris.  Emmie was bred as a racing dog, but was very nervous of many things; she was even afraid of the Hare!

This Morning Photo

John picked up on Emmie's nervousness and correctly stated that she felt secure with Chris.  Emmie is now settled in her new home and her nervousness is slowly improving.
