My parents rescued Playa as a 3 month old puppy dying on the beaches of Margarita. It took us 2 months of hurdles and paperwork to get her back to the UK.  Playa had to be quarantined for 6 months and every weekend my Mum and Dad would drive and hour to visit her and spend at least 2 hours with her then drive an hour back home again. They achieved so much from this magical dog in what was very limited surroundings.

We finally got her home on 13th February 2009, what a day for celebration we couldn’t believe the day had finally come.  Mum and Dad had all their lives mapped out everything included Playa.  They loved her so much and she loved them, she knew where her loyalties lie and sure she would let the rest of us fuss her and have a cuddle but we just weren’t my Mum and Dad!

Cruelly Playa was taken from us on Tuesday 3 March and without going into all the details we believe she was hit by a car that killed her instantly.  My poor parents had only had her for 18 days!!!!!  Why did she have to go?  Like many of you that have left messages about your animals we are overwhelmed with grief.  She was taken away from us so quickly and suddenly and it all just seems unfair!!!!

She will never be forgotten and will always leave a void in our lives. I pray that she has found a better place than this cruel world and ask Playa to find a way to help my Mum and Dad come to terms with her loss.

Thank you
