Today I walked through autumn leaves
Whilst sun shone from a violet sky
And watched the water , crystal clear
Of river as it gurgled by

I thought of you my dearest friend
Of how, in happier days you'd be
Along my side upon this path
Contented just to be with me

My sorrow sometimes overwhelms
When thinking of our sad goodbye
My days will never be the same
Without you ever by my side

I pray that you will I forgive
For setting free the endless pain
My comfort is from knowing that
Somewhere, your spirit lives again

One day , I know that I will see
My friend again and we will play
Along this path where now I walk
And I will say , I'm here to stay

You only went ahead of me
To dwell until my time is nye
So, dearest friend , please wait for me
For this is not our last goodbye
