We’ll Remember, Missis

Missis, you are missed so much
Your fur, your eyes, your touch,
We think of you whatever we do,
And in our hearts your love is true.

These 48 months and 14 weeks
Have given us both the love we seek
We thank you so much for sharing your life
With me, and Tony, through all our strife.

We will take the love you left behind
And through our beauty, it’s you we’ll find
Every time we share a hug or kiss
It’s you we’ll thank, our beautiful Missis.

Although your body has gone away,
Your soul took root, and here it’ll stay.
We feel your spirit, we feel your presence,
Death cannot take away your essence.

Death cannot change the time we shared
Death cannot reduce how much we cared
Death cannot remove you from our hearts
Death is not the end: it is only the start.

We will look for you everywhere we go
Whenever we sit under the weeping willow
Whenever we see a scampering rabbit,
We’ll think of you, our little cabbit.

We’ll remember the kisses on the noses
The daytime snuggles, the night time dozes,
We’ll remember the cradling in our arms
The charisma, the enigma of our baby girls charms.

We’ll remember the meow, a silent call
We’ll remember your basket in the hall
We’ll remember you sleeping, stretching, warm
Heat full blast on your beauteous form.

We’ll remember your eyes: marbles big and green,
We’ll remember ‘When In Doubt: Clean’.
We’ll remember your patience with Boo and The Nut
We’ll remember the tap-tapping claws, uncut

We’ll remember you when you were healthier
We’ll remember your passion for Philadelphia.
We’ll remember you searching out the bright sunshine
We’ll remember your stretching paws on mine.

Of course we’ll remember your itchy ears
It makes us smile through our tears.
We’ll remember you eating off our plates
We’ll remember you, as our grief abates.

We’ll remember organic chicken and tuna
We’ll remember that we wished we’d met you sooner.
We’ll remember your passion for organic cheese
These scattered memories will bring us ease

We’ll remember all those things you do
Our baby girl, our kangaroo.
We’ll remember long-legggin, we’ll remember the kisses
But above all else, we’ll remember you, Missis.

We Love You – Always In Our Hearts.
