Dear Animal Samaritans

Poppy (or Flopsy ears as the little boy next door has named her) has settled in really well.  I originally had to identical brothers Bill and Ben but sadly lost Ben very suddenly and as Bill had been extremely close, wanted to find him a companion.

I couldn't have asked for a better match, they snuggle up together, he cleans her and uses her as a pillow in the sun!  They run round the garden together seeing who can hide the best from me and she has her favourite spot of sitting under the BBQ cover on the shelf of the BBQ nudging the plastic cover to show she is there!

They are now known as Billy and Poppy to me, however as she is a lop eared, the little boy next door thinks it is better to call her Flopsy (ears) and loves watching them have their mad half hour running full pelt round the garden then stopping and jumping up in the air on the spot and twisting in the air before running off again!

They both live in their rabbit mansion that I built, which they are quite happy in, very secure and has two floors in the main part, the "lounge" is downstairs where they lie in the sun taking in the rays, and the "bedroom" is upstairs where they like to retire to. The mansion has Perspex sides to let the light in and they love to stare out from the bedroom while the sun is shining in through it.

My other addition is a gorgeous hamster I have named brandy.  She has had fun running round and has taken great delight to chewing her plastic wheel in so many pieces that it fell apart, so I bought her a metal one and she loves running on that and it will last a lot longer.  She is very photogenic and loves to stick her nose and whiskers right on the lens just as you are taking her picture, getting a very big close up! she hears the kettle go on every morning and pops her head out of her bed to say hello, get her treat and then goes back to her slumber.

I am thankful to the Animal Samaritans for both of these gorgeous additions and the photos will show you how well they have settled in.

Best Wishes and keep up the good work!
Miss L Smith

Hi Lisa

Just wanted to say MERRY CHRISTMAS.  Can't believe we have had Shelby for a whole year already, she is doing really well.

She is as adorable as ever, still very vocal, will have to do something about that in the New Year! Have attached a couple of pictures, she may look a little porky but she isn't really, her weight stayed the same since she had her op.

She doesn't like the flash on the camera either so looks a bit annoyed.  Thanks again for bringing her into our lives.  Keep up the good work.

Love Diane Ryan Jade and Shelby x

Dear Lisa

Whipples had settled in very well, she is just adorable.  She's put on weight and has great fun every morning running around with her friends in our local park.

Thank you so much for your phone call.  We couldn't have been better matched.

with love

Michelle and Whipples
