Dogs in need of homes

Back To Main Page

If you see a dog on this page that you would like to adopt, please consider the following first:

Does everyone in the family want the dog?  Everyone that lives in the house with the dog should be involved with the dog's wellbeing.

Please ensure that nobody in the family is allergic to dogs.

Have I got the time to give to a dog?  Dogs need exercise, attention, training and feeding.

Can I afford a dog?  Dogs require annual vaccinations to protect them from disease, regular worming and flea treatment, daily feeding and may require veterinary attention at some stage of their life.  Many dogs also require regular visits to a dog groomer.

Can someone look after my dog should I need them to.  Booking boarding kennels often needs to be arranged long before your holiday.

Does the dog I want fit into my life style?  For example if you were hoping to take on a puppy, but are only prepared to go for one short walk a day, this would not be suitable.  Please consider the dog’s needs before making that decision.

Dog Fosterers Needed

We are currently looking for volunteer dog fosterers in the following areas:-

Erith, Abbey Wood, Welling, Bexleyheath, Swanley & Belvedere.

If you would like to foster a dog until it finds a permanent home, it is essential that you drive, are able to exercise the dog and have the patience it sometimes requires to care for them.

We do not place foster dogs in homes with children under 10 years of age.

This name is Harvey (pictured with a friend) and is just under a year.  He is a cross Jack Russell / Terrier and he is a 'pure delight'.

He is very friendly and loves a cuddle.  He does jump up but would respond well to some training.  He is very intelligent and loves to fetch a ball.  He will need lots of walks and mental stimulation..

Blue

Blue is a 7 month old cross between a Staff and a Pitball (we think).  He is a lovely natured dog however he needs a lot of training and attention.

He is very smart as he even taught himself how to open doors inside and out.  He learns very quickly and with the right owner he would be perfect for them.

He is very obsessed with his food but doesn't go for you if you try and take it away, he is always hunting for food.  He would benefit from a home with no other dogs as he is quite dominant.

RUBY

Ruby is a 3 yr old English Bull Terrier that is in need of a new home, she has currently lived out for the past 2½ years due a disagreement with another pet in the household. She does interact with a Staff x English on the odd occasion but she is always muzzled.

She is currently in a home that doesn't have children around, so at this stage it would be difficult to say what she is like around them. She is nervous of new people but there are wide range of adults that she is fine with and whom she loves and plays with.

All her vaccinations are up to date and she's wormed although she currently unspayed.  Unfortunately her owner has to move into rented accommodation and cannot take her with her.

Sam

Sam is a 5 year old Male Rottweiler, very loving and wants to be pampered all the time. He is very soft!

He is better off being with adults as he is very boisterous and is NOT good with children OR other dogs, (He can get stressed).

Sam would benefit from some dog training.  He is also a very big dog so needs a lot of space.

Staffie X

This little girl is approximately three years old and not spayed, she has had her injections though and is chipped.

She has a nice temperament and loves being around people.  Most of all she loves sitting on your lap all day if she could.

She was dumped as a puppy at 5 days old and she gets very excited when you come into a room.  Her current owner loves her very much but unfortunately due to personal circumstances cannot look after her any more.
